By now, I'm sure that you've seen the trailer for Disney's upcoming blockbuster, Oz The Great and Powerful. If you're like me, you've counted the days until the release, wondered why everyone's always gotta pick on Elphaba, imagined yourself as Theodora, and congratulated Michelle Williams on her decision to go pixie many years ago (as it was clearly the superior choice). The news of HSN's expansive collaboration snuck past me until I was invited to preview the collection this week. My reaction was very similar to Joey's on Blossom: WHOA.
There are beautiful balloon themed home pieces from brands like D.L. & Co, a feathered cape from Naeem Khan that also comes in plus size, a crown topped cookie jar (full of cookies, might I add), and even a printed flat iron from Amika. The collection launched today and a special event runs through tomorrow on air, but you can buy all of pieces from the collection online.
My favorite discovery from the preview was learning about the Raven by Raven Kauffman Couture collection. The pieces included in the collaboration are made from real leather, most adorned with feathers and absolutely stunning. The feather collar necklace, while now sadly sold out, is truly a think of beauty. Feathered shoe clips that are attached by clipping the beak of a raven to your shoe? Genius.
